Is there anything personal in here?
Paste the text before it goes into an AI tool. The page marks whatever looks like a name, an address, an e-mail address, a phone number, an IBAN or a reference number. That happens in your browser; nothing is sent, nothing is stored.
The problem
Is there anything in this text that does not belong in an AI tool?
Have an email summarised, a letter translated: the text almost always contains a name, a phone number, a customer number. Before the input it goes unnoticed; afterwards it cannot be taken back.
What the check does: The checker marks in the browser what looks like a name after a salutation, an address, email, phone, IBAN, VAT number or other number, and gives a cleaned version with placeholders to copy. The text does not leave your browser.
What it does not do: It does not say whether an input is permissible, and it only recognises patterns: names without a salutation, illnesses, salaries and everything that is personal only in context you have to see yourself.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The check runs entirely in your browser; the page has no recipient for it.
What do I do with the cleaned version?
Copy it, paste it into the tool, and after the answer replace the placeholders in square brackets in your head.
Is that enough protection?
It is the step before the input. What may go in at all is set by the business’s usage rules; the traffic light helps with the task before that.
